Privacy Policy
Last updated · 15 June 2026
Pako is a Discord bot and dashboard that joins your voice channel, understands speech and replies out loud. This policy explains what data we process and why. We keep it minimal: we only handle what we need to run the service.
Who we are
Pako ("we", "us") operates the website at pako.gg and the Pako Discord bot. For any privacy question, contact us at support@pako.gg.
What we collect
Account data (via Discord login). When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, avatar and email address, and the list of servers you can manage. We store access tokens to talk to Discord on your behalf. We never see or store your Discord password.
Server configuration.Settings you choose for a server (personality, mode, wake word and similar options) are stored against that server's ID.
Voice & conversation. When the bot is in a voice channel, audio is transcribed to text to understand requests and generate a spoken reply. Audio is processed transiently and is not stored. A short rolling window of recent conversation text is kept per server to maintain context, and is overwritten over time.
Operational metrics. We record technical measurements (e.g. response latency and usage minutes) to operate and improve the service. These contain no audio and no message content.
How we use it
To authenticate you, show the servers you can manage, run the bot's features (speech, music, web answers, memory), bill voice usage, and keep the service reliable and secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third-party processors
To deliver features, your requests are processed by service providers acting on our behalf: Discord (platform), and speech-to-text, language-model, text-to-speech and web-search providers. Operator API keys are encrypted at rest. Each provider processes only what is needed to fulfil a request.
Retention
Account and server settings are kept while your account or the bot is active. Conversation context is a small rolling window that is continually overwritten. You can remove the bot from a server at any time; its data stops being used. To delete your account data, contact us at support@pako.gg.
Your choices
You can revoke Pako's Discord authorization in your Discord account settings, remove the bot from a server from the dashboard, or request deletion of your data by email.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
